Live performance and immersive listening with IMRSV Sessions

Sovaldi, IDA, Franz Gordon, Lavei and Natura Nights came together for the first edition of IMRSV Sessions in our main live room, blending ambient electronica, classical piano, vocals and nature sounds. Live performances were combined with immersive production in Dolby Atmos, surrounding the audience with sound throughout the room.

Low lighting, candles, calming scents, tea and fresh fruit created a relaxed setting designed to slow things down and give the music space to be fully experienced.

This marked the first edition of IMRSV Sessions; a concept we’re continuing to develop.

Dolby / Stockholm Music Week

Introducing Legacy Mixes with Dolby at IMRSV

During Stockholm Music Week, we welcomed a full house of artists, collaborators and guests to IMRSV for a listening evening hosted together with Dolby, PopHouse, Universal and the Tim Bergling Foundation.

The programme featured newly reimagined Dolby Atmos versions of Avicii’s Wake Me Up and SOS, alongside music from Swedish artist GERD.

The evening also marked the introduction of Legacy Mixes, an IMRSV initiative dedicated to reimagining iconic catalogue recordings in Dolby Atmos while preserving the emotion, character and artistic intent of the original productions.

David Stenmarck and Dolby Atmos engineer Basma Jabbar discussed the creative and technical process behind the mixes. Wake Me Up required extensive restoration due to incomplete stems and missing elements, while SOS offered more room to explore depth, space and movement while retaining the energy of the original mix.

Klas Bergling of the Tim Bergling Foundation reflected on Avicii’s curiosity about sound and innovation. The conversation also touched on Tim’s early musical influences, his relationship with Aloe Blacc, and the importance of preserving and developing his catalogue for new generations of listeners.
