Studio with History
In 1969, EMI transformed a former cinema in Stockholm into a recording studio. The 400-seat cinema was rebuilt using the same blueprint as Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios in London, which was also owned by EMI at the time.
Known in its early years as “Stockholm Abbey Road,” the studio has been home to generations of Swedish and international artists, with recordings that have gone on to become Billboard No. 1s.
More than 50 years on, the studio remains a place where music history continues to be made.
