Johan Christoffersson releases Will Fly Again

Johan Christoffersson has released Will Fly Again, the latest single from his upcoming debut album on IMRSV Blue.

The piece takes its inspiration from Carl Larsson’s watercolor Convalescence, which Johan discovered in one of his son’s books. The painting depicts a bedridden woman recovering from illness, her gaze suggesting a longing to leave the bed behind and return to life.

For Johan, that feeling became the heart of Will Fly Again.

In Johan’s words:

“Will Fly Again is about longing. The longing to regain one’s strength and rise again, to make a comeback, hopefully stronger than before. A longing for freedom.”
