A long history of iconic recordings

IMRSV stands as the premier choice for recording studios in Stockholm. We have collaborated with numerous international artists from today’s music industry. When Lil Nas X visited Stockholm for his Lollapalooza performance in 2023, he also spent time at IMRSV for recording sessions. Additionally, Drake recorded at IMRSV during his visit in 2022. Moreover, we have hosted esteemed guests such as Kendrick Lamar, One Direction, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga, who recorded parts of her album ‘Born This Way’ here. We have also been visited by most of the Swedish elite with artists like Zara Larsson, Robyn, Benjamin Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia, Léon, Avicii, Carola, Darin, Laleh and Petter.

Throughout the years, IMRSV have produced countless iconic recordings. Among them, members of ABBA have recorded much of their music here. In addition, they served as the house band for the studio, contributing to various musical pieces on songs for other artists, such as Harpo’s worldwide hit “Moviestar,” produced by Bengt Palmers.

Gyllene Tider, has also recorded in our studio through the years, including their first three albums: ‘Gyllene Tider’ in 1980, ‘Moderna Tider’ in 1981 and ‘Puls’ in 1982. These albums contributed significantly to the band's success and are considered iconic in Swedish pop music history.

Per Gessle, the lead singer in Gyllene Tider, met with the renowned artist Marie Fredriksson through sharing a rehearsal space in their late teens. Later, in 1986, the iconic pop duo Roxette was formed. They recorded most of their albums at IMRSV, such as “Look Sharp” in 1988, “Joyride” in 1991, "Crash! Boom! Bang!" in 1994 and “Room Service” in 2001. And their singles “The Look”, “Listen To Your Heart”, “It Must Have Been Love” and “Joyride” reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart, making Roxette Sweden's second-best-selling music act after ABBA.

Before Roxette was formed, Marie Fredriksson recorded six of her eight solo albums in our studio, including 'Den ständiga resan' in 1992 and 'I en tid som vår' in 1996.

IMRSV remains the unparalleled choice for recording studios in Stockholm, serving as a cornerstone of the music industry both locally and internationally. Our rich history of collaborations with renowned artists, coupled with our state-of-the-art facilities, continues to uphold our legacy as a hub for creative excellence.
